REMINDNET opens the Call for Scientific Publication Grant
These calls are based upon the work performed within COST Action CA22138 – Recovery of Mining District Network (REMINDNET), supported by COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology).
The Scientific Publication Grant provides financial support for a scientific publication to be published in Open Access after peer review.
Deadline for applications
June 30th, 2026
Specific Conditions
The following criteria must be met:
- The paper must be the result of the work of the COST Action REMINDNET.
- The paper must be authored by REMINDNET Participants from at least
- 3 different Core Members OR
- 2 different Core Members and 1 Near Neighbour Country OR
- 2 different COST Members if resulting from an STSM funded by the Action.
- Please note that no embargo period is allowed.
Eligible Expenses
The list of eligible expenses is given below:
- Only publication fees in full Open Access venues for scientific publications are eligible for reimbursement (Gold Open Access).
- Proofreading, editing, translation and layout expenses, which is subject to approval and consultation with Grant Holder Manager and Action Chair prior to the start of any proofreading, editing, translation activities.
Financial Support
The Scientific Publication Grant is paid in the form of a grant. The maximum grant amount is 1,500 EUR. Related invoices issued by the publisher to VSB-TUO must be supported within the 3rd Grant Period.
Application Procedure
Please send your final manuscript in PDF format with proof of acceptance by the publisher to the Grand Awarding Coordinator via email (tansel.dogan@thga.de). The paper must be accepted (or in Press) but not published yet.
Applications will be assessed by the Assessment Committee (Grant Awarding Coordinator, Action Chair, Action Vice Chair and Core Group Members) based on the perceived contribution that the paper will make to the scientific objectives outlined in the Action’s Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Applicants will be formally notified of the outcome of their grant application by the Grant Holder Manager no more than 15 days after the deadline.
